What is Custom Work?

Paid custom work encompasses changes our customers need in SimplicityCollect. Like enhancement requests, these may be updates to existing features, affiliations with new services, or brand new ideas. However, unlike enhancements, there is a cost associated with custom work. This cost depends on the hours required to build the new feature.


How do I get a quote?

You can contact our Simplicity Support team to request a custom work quote at: helpdesk@simplicitycollect.com

Make sure you provide as much information as possible. You can include account examples, spreadsheets, mock-up designs and more. The clearer the request is made, the closer we can program it to what you envisioned.

NOTE: If you forget to include specific details that were not part of the original quote, and later in the design process those details are added/changed, additional cost adjustments may be made. Alternatively, a new custom work quote may be created for those new features.


How much does it cost?

Typically custom work costs $100/hour of programming needed. Depending on the difficulty, price is subject to change. Once you agree upon a quote, we will never charge you more. If we finish the project in less time, we will only charge you for the time it took to complete the project.

Projects will be charged to the card on file for your SimplicityCollect account. Charges are made once custom work has been completed.


How is the work processed? How soon will it be done? Will I get updates?

Once a quote is accepted, custom work is added to our development queue and is started in order of when it is requested.

Custom work may be expedited upon request. Expedited custom work is subject to additional fees.

We will provide you updates to your custom work requests via an open ticket. After work has been completed, it will be submitted for testing in our beta environment before being added for public use during one of our release dates.


When are your release dates?

Release dates are every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.


Does everyone get to use the custom work I pay for?

Yes, custom work is published to the software as a whole. Other updates you often see in SimplicityCollect were requested and paid for by other companies using the software, or were updates that we brought to you as part of an enhancement request.
