Once you are ready to start reporting accounts to your preferred credit bureau, you can “mark” an account to report by selecting the checkbox on the account that says “Report to Bureaus” (right next to the debtor’s First/Last Name). Accounts can only be reported if the account has:

  • Account Received Date
  • Collection Status Date (If account is closed)
  • Debtor First Name (If account is not a company)
  • Debtor Last Name
  • Debtor SSN –or- DOB
  • Debtor Address Line 1
  • Debtor City, State, Zip
  • Date of First Delinquency
  • Creditor (with a metro2 classification)

You can also enable or disable Credit Bureau reporting on accounts in bulk by going to Tools > Bulk Account Manager. Once you locate accounts in the system, you can mark them for reporting and adjust reporting parameters on the bottom right of the screen, and then select “Perform Selected Actions“.

After you have marked at least one account, navigate to Tools > Credit Bureau Tools, followed by the button “View Accounts.” Any check marked accounts will now show up on your screen.  From there, you’ll want to enter in your ID from one of the following Bureaus listed (you receive an ID when you sign up for an account with one): Experian, TransUnion, Equifax, or Innovis.

  • If reporting to more than one credit bureau, generate separate metro2 files for each program ID.

Then you can then adjust your reporting options, and click “Report Selected” to generate a file that has been converted to the Metro2 format. Once downloaded, you can sign in to your credit bureau’s website and upload the file directly. Due to the hands-on options with the Credit Bureau Tools page, you are not restricted to any reporting schedule with us, and can generate a Metro2 file whenever you need it.

When selecting an age limit for reporting, an account will be filtered out of the query and will not be reported if there is no date of birth on the account.
