  • When I search for accounts, my system slows down. How can I avoid this?
< Back

When searching the system for phone numbers or other types of data, there are two possible ways you can search for it:

1) Using either the Quick Search or the Home Page Search, you can change the [Global Search] drop down list to “Phone #” to have Simplicity search *only* debtor phone fields in the system. This drastically speeds up searching, as it narrows down where Simplicity has to look for information.

2) Using either the Quick Search or the Home Page Search, you can leave the [Global Search] option where it is. This makes the program check every single field in Simplicity for that number, including all custom fields for every account. Depending on the number of accounts and/or fields you have, this can be a very thorough search. However, it may  drastically increase the time it takes to complete, as the program is hunting through possibly hundreds of thousands—in some cases, millions—of field options.

We highly recommend using option 1 when at all possible. Refining your search will always speed up productivity in the system.
