Full message:

Imported 0 of 0 accounts. Error: There was a problem reading the Excel File. External table is not in the expected format. Import Error: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index

This message will appear on a Results File after an import attempt using the Account Importer tool, and indicates:

1) That the file you are attempting to import has been corrupted in some way.

 

We recommend that you open the file, copy and paste the data to a new document (using the mouse, not CTRL+A to select all), double-check the data looks correct on the new file, and then save and re-upload it to SimplicityCollect.

 

Tips:

 

If you’re having a lot of trouble with one type of file, you can also try saving it as another format (like .XLSX or .CSV), or copy and paste the values only. This removes all formatting (which can sometimes cause the error) and you will need to re-format the columns manually.
